To celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), Höfði Reykjavík Peace Centre hosts an open seminar, in collaboration with human rights organisations in Iceland, the Icelandic Human Rights Office, the Steering Committee for human rights, and the University of Iceland Human Rights Institute.
The UDHR, a milestone document in the history of human rights, was enacted by the UN on December 10, 1948. It sets out, for the first time, fundamental human rights to be universally protected.
The seminar takes place in Veröld - House of Vigdís at 9:00 - 11:00 on Monday 10 December. It takes place in Icelandic and is open to all.
